Program Description

Master's or PhD students are invited to apply for research visit funding from the Thematic Program on Quantum Algorithms for Differential Equations (the "Program") taking place at the Fields Institute from July 1 - December 31, 2026. More information on the program will be posted here as it becomes available: http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/activities/26-27/quantum-algorithms-QADE. Successful applicants will be provided with funding to join the program in Ontario for 4-6 months. These Long Term Visitor positions will provide up to CAD$4,000 per month of reimbursement of travel, accommodation and per diem expenses.

Eligibility: Students who are working towards a Master's Degree or PhD in the area of the Program or a related area of the mathematical sciences, with prior familiarity with the basics of quantum algorithms. Knowledge of numerical methods for solving differential equations is an asset but not a requirement. Women and underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged to apply.
