IBS Extremal Combinatorics and Probability Group (ECOPRO) in Daejeon, South Korea invites applications for research positions. We are hiring up to 

 (3 senior researchers) Initial contract period: approximately 1-2 years, with one-time renewable up to 5 years in total.

 ECOPRO is a research group that was established on April 1st, 2022 at Institute for Basic Science (IBS), led by Prof. Hong Liu. ECOPRO is located at the headquarters of IBS in Daejeon, South Korea, a city of 1.5 million people. We are looking for candidates with outstanding research potential in all fields of combinatorics with emphasis on Extremal and Probabilistic Combinatorics, Graph Theory, Discrete Geometry, Ramsey Theory and Combinatorial Number Theory. 

 The initial appointment is for  1-2 years, with a starting salary of no less than 61,000,000 KRW per year. The appointment is one time renewable contingent upon the outstanding performance of the researcher. The expected start date is September 1, 2026 (flexible, but no later than December 1, 2026). 

 This is purely a research position and will have no teaching duties.
