Position Description
The Hausel group at ISTA is advertising a postdoctoral position starting September 2026. The focus of the research group is geometric representation theory, algebraic geometry, topology and integrable systems. The position is available for up to two years, with the possibility of extension to two further years, and comes with a competitive salary and research support. Funding is from the ERC advanced grant “Representation theory, equivariant topology and Langlands duality via fixed point schemes”. There are no teaching duties, although participating in graduate teaching is possible. The group normally runs a weekly two-hour seminar with external speakers and a working seminar with internal speakers. ISTA is a young PhD granting research institute in the basic natural sciences, located at a newly built campus in the outskirts of Vienna. The official language of the Institute is English.
