Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University solicits applications for two J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professorships beginning Fall 2019.

The J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professorship is a three-year position offered to recent PhDs with outstanding research potential. Candidates in all areas of pure mathematics, including analysis, complex and algebraic geometry, geometric analysis, mathematical physics, number theory, and topology, are encouraged to apply. The teaching load is three courses per academic year.
