Position Description
The Department of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University solicits applications for J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professorships beginning Fall 2026. The J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professorship is a three-year position offered to recent PhDs with outstanding research potential. Candidates in all areas of pure mathematics are encouraged to apply. Applications received by November 15, 2025 will be given priority. The expected academic base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $84,000.
