Fellowship Description
The Office of the Provost at Johns Hopkins University has created a postdoctoral fellowship program with the goal of building a sustainable pathway to the professorate for scholars from underrepresented groups. The fellowships are for up to two years and do not require teaching. Applicants must either be current PhD students who will finish their degree by the fellowship start date, or else current postdoctoral scholars who are within three years of receiving their degrees. The program encourages applications from scholars with diverse backgrounds and life experiences, such as racial/ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, individuals from rural or socially disadvantaged backgrounds, and those of LGBTQIA identity. In fields where women are underrepresented, such as mathematics, women are encouraged to apply. Only US citizens and permanent residents can apply.
