Applicants are expected to have demonstrated exceptional research potential, including major contributions beyond or through their doctoral dissertations. The annual salary is around 48,200,000 Korean Won (currency exchange rate) excluding severance pay; an individual research grant of about 10,000,000 Korean Won and a benefit card of approximately 2,000,000 Korean Won will be available each year. (Benefits are subject to change depending on internal regulations and funding.) The initial appointment for this position is for two years with possibility of a one-time renewal of up to two to three additional years, depending on research performance and the needs of the research program at KIAS.
