Postdoctoral Research FellowThe School of Mathematics at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applicants for the positions at the level of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in pure and applied mathematics. KIAS, founded in 1996, is committed to the excellence of research in basic sciences (mathematics, theoretical physics, and computational sciences) through high-quality research programs and a strong faculty body consisting of distinguished scientists and visiting scholars.
Applicants are expect+ed to have demonstrated exceptional research potential, including major contributions beyond or through the doctoral dissertation. The annual salary starts from 48,500,000 Korean Won for Research Fellows. In addition, individual research funds of 10,000,000 Korean Won and a welfare card will be available each year. The initial appointment for the position is for two years with possibility of a one-time renewal for up to two years, depending on research performance and the needs of the research program at KIAS.
Applications will be reviewed twice a year, June 1 and December 1, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted individually for interviews. In exceptional cases, applications can be reviewed other times based on the availability of positions
