The Department of Mathematics at Lehigh University invites applications for C.C. Hsiung Visiting Assistant Professor positions starting fall of 2023. These positions are intended for new or recent Ph.D.s with outstanding potential in research and excellent teaching. The teaching load is 3 courses for the year, typically 2 in the fall and 1 in the spring. The initial appointment is for one year, normally renewable for a second year contingent on satisfactory performance in teaching and research. The department welcomes applicants in fields that complement our existing areas of faculty research, including Statistics. Applicants should identify faculty with whom they might work. The successful candidate must have earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field by the date of employment.
