The Department of Mathematics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the level of Assistant Professor to begin fall 2023. A Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely-related field is required. The Department seeks accomplished candidates who can enhance our research and educational missions. Applicants should have made major contributions beyond their doctoral research and should have outstanding research potential. They should also have a record of excellent teaching and demonstrate a commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education. Preference will be given to candidates who satisfy these conditions and also complement one of our existing research groups. Candidates will be expected to support the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds. The Department is committed to engaging communities underrepresented in the academy.

All applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, a statement of planned research, a statement describing teaching experience and philosophy, a publication list, and four letters of recommendation. One of these letters must be focused on the applicant's teaching experience and abilities; the most helpful teaching letters are from those who have observed the candidate teach an undergraduate class.
