Position Description
The Department of Mathematics in Penn State's Eberly College of Science invites applications for Postdoctoral Scholars through the Center for Computational Mathematics and Applications (CCMA). Successful candidates will engage in research in all or any of the areas of scientific computing, data science, and quantum information science.Appointed candidates will collaborate closely with CCMA faculty on cutting-edge research projects involving
design, analysis and implementation of advanced numerical methods and algorithms in interdisciplinary
applications. The position includes the possibility of an annual 1-1 teaching load.
Education and Experience:
Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a closely related field
such as statistics, computer science, physics, or engineering by the start date of employment. Strong
expertise in one or more of the fields of scientific computing, data science, and quantum
computing accompanied by strong programming skills are essential.
