Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research and healthcare, is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics beginning August 2023. This postdoctoral position is intended for recent recipients of the doctoral degree with demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching. The position is renewable for up to three years total.

The Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related area is required. The application should include a letter of application and CV, a statement of research interests, a statement of teaching interests and experience, and three references. Applicants should indicate a member or members of the department with whom they have overlapping research interests. We will begin reviewing applications on January 3 and continue until the position is filled.

The specific duties of this appointment are teaching 2 courses per semester, maintaining an active research program, and integrating into the academic life of the department and university.

Our department currently consists of twenty-four faculty members whose research areas include algebra, analysis, geometry, topology, and statistics. The department has undergraduate majors in mathematics and data science, and offers graduate master's and doctoral degrees in mathematics. The department web page is at http://mathstat.slu.edu.
