St. Lawrence University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mathematics at the assistant professor level within the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics, to begin in August 2022. The teaching expectation at St. Lawrence is three courses per semester, with credit for supervising senior projects. Our department currently has fourteen full-time faculty members and supports majors in mathematics, computer science, statistics, and data science. We are one of the top schools in the country in percent of students majoring in the mathematical sciences. The ideal candidate will help us continue to attract students to and excite students about mathematics. Some preference may be given to applicants whose teaching interests complement those of current members of our department. The university offers generous support for conference travel and an option for a pre-tenure sabbatical.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field by August 15, 2022, a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in a Liberal Arts setting, and evidence of excellence in teaching and research potential.
