Several postdoctoral research fellowships are offered by the Department of Mathematics at the Technion each academic year. These include the Anna and Paul Erdos postdoctoral fellowship (established by the late professor Paul Erdos in memory of his mother), the Lady Davis Postdoctoral fellowship, and others. The fellowships are intended as an opportunity for a recent recipient of a doctoral degree to pursue his/her research in any area of pure or applied mathematics, and carry no teaching duties. All applicants will be considered for all fellowships. The fellowships are for one or two academic years, starting October 1, and may be extended for another year, subject to approval. Stipend is commensurate with local academic salaries, and includes round trip travel. Some fellowships will also include partial housing support. Applications should apply through MathJobs. Applications should include curriculum vitae, statement of research interests and activities, and any relevant publications. The statement must name one or more faculty member in the department whose research interest are closest to the applicant's. Applicants should also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be uploaded to the MathJobs site. It is recommended that the application documents be uploaded by December 25 of each year, but later applications may be be considered as well, subject to availability of funding. |
