The Department of Mathematics at Temple University seeks to fill several non-tenure-track, full-time instructional faculty positions, available beginning Fall 2023. These positions carry a 3-3 teaching load, or equivalent. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to student success and to continued development in the area of teaching. Experience teaching a range of undergraduate courses and familiarity with best practices in teaching mathematics are advantages. A Ph.D. in Mathematics, or a related field, is preferred, though candidates with a Master’s degree and a focus on developmental mathematics are encouraged to apply. Applications are to be submitted through mathjobs.org, and should include a CV, a statement detailing teaching experience and philosophy, and at least three letters of recommendation from faculty with direct knowledge of the applicant’s teaching effectiveness. Evaluation of applicants will begin immediately; all applications will receive consideration until the positions are filled. Temple University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their teaching and service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community at Temple. |
