The Department of Mathematics at Temple University seeks a (non-tenure track) Research Assistant Professor in the areas of Analysis and Partial Differential Equations starting Fall 2023. The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of extension to a second, per mutual agreement. The teaching load will be one course per semester in the first year. In the second year, if applicable, the teaching load will be two courses in the Fall semester and one course in the Spring semester.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of Professor Mihaela Ignatova on nonlinear partial differential equations, free boundary problems and nonlocal equations arising in physical and biological sciences. Expertise in harmonic analysis, functional analysis and partial differential equations is welcome, and should be stressed in the cover letter. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in mathematics by the time of appointment.
