PDE/Applied Analysis

The Department of Mathematics at Tufts University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Applied Mathematics, beginning Fall 2025, at the assistant professor level. Preference will be given to candidates in applied analysis and PDEs. The successful candidate will exhibit the potential to collaborate with colleagues in the department and across Tufts University.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, or a related field, by the beginning of the appointment, have an active research program, show promise of outstanding research, and exhibit a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. Strong preference will be given to those candidates with post-doctoral experience. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and teach courses in applied analysis including but not limited to partial differential equations, modeling, and scientific computing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
