Position Description
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites applications for a non-tenure track, full time Assistant Teaching Professor, with benefits, starting August 2025.
Applications must include:

- Teaching statement- A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching is required. The teaching statement should detail the experience in teaching mathematics courses, including a brief description of the courses taught, and it should highlight any innovative teaching approaches, if applicable.
- Three letters of recommendation, at least two highlighting teaching.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Typically teaching 24 credit hours per academic year
- Typically teaching 6-8 lower and upper undergraduate level courses
- Support the departmental goals in undergraduate education
- Potential for summer teaching opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a closely-related. Must be concurred no later than August 15, 2025.
- At least 2 Years teaching experience at the secondary or higher education level.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Mathematics or a closely-related field.
Tentative Search Timeline
- Priority will be given to applications submitted by January 27th, 2025.
- Potential Interview Dates: Beginning the Week of Monday, February 17th.
- Potential start date: August 15, 2025.
