INTRODUCTION

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Connecticut (UConn) is pleased to invite applications for positions at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2022. The teaching load for these positions is seven courses during the academic year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Ph.D. or equivalent foreign degree in mathematics (granted by August 2022), a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching, the ability to contribute through teaching and/or public engagement to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with educational technologies, such as online homework systems, message boards, videos, smartboards, and interactive technological teaching tools. Experience teaching large lectures.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track position with an anticipated start date of August 23, 2022. This will be a one-year duration appointment. The successful candidates' academic appointments will be at the Storrs campus. Faculty may also be asked to teach at one of UConn’s regional campuses as part of their ordinary workload. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The teaching load for these positions is seven courses during the academic year.
