This field spans a broad spectrum of topics, including areas such as number theory, algebraic geometry, representation theory, group and Lie theory, and category and homotopy theory. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate degree programs through teaching and mentorship. Responsibilities will also include contributing to research, providing service to the department and university, and working with students, faculty, and staff from broad social and cultural backgrounds.
