Position Description

The University of Dallas, Constantin College of Liberal Arts, invites new or recent mathematics doctoral recipients to apply for a full-time faculty position as a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow for a term of two years, beginning in the Fall of 2026. The unique emphasis for this position is to provide experience in teaching mathematics using inquiry-based learning methods. The successful candidate will teach at least one course each semester using these methods. The mathematics department has a long, well-established history of using inquiry-based learning in many of its course offerings, both for majors and non-majors. Financial support may be available for attending conferences focused on inquiry-based methods in mathematics. The primary responsibilities for this position are:
• Teach three courses each semester that support both the mathematics major and the university core curriculum.  
• Prepare for each class meeting, lead classroom discussion, grade assignments and exams, and assign grades in each course.  
• Hold regular office hours and attend monthly department meetings.
