The School of Mathematics at the University of Minnesota invites applications for one post-doctoral position in mathematics under the supervision of Jeff Calder. The position is part of a collaborative project at the University of Minnesota between Mathematics, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering started in 2022 and supported by an NSF grant under the Mathematical and Scientific Foundations of Deep Learning and Related Areas (MoDL+) program. The project is broadly focused on mathematical analysis and algorithm development in the area of deep graph neural networks. Preference will be given to candidates with research interests in partial differential equations, calculus of variations, computational science or mathematics of deep learning.

The position is for three years starting in Fall 2023 and has a teaching load of two one-semester courses per academic year. We seek candidates with demonstrated excellence in research and teaching. Salary is competitive.
