Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, invites applications for a number of Postdoctoral Research Associate positions, which are expected to be filled this year. Candidates in any area compatible with the research interests of the department will be considered. Position duties include conducting research and teaching courses. The teaching load and salary will be competitive with other AMS Group I universities. 

The position is for a term of three years starting summer 2027. The Department also anticipates having several positions with a term of one year starting summer 2027, with a possible renewal for a second year. 

The review of candidates for all postdoctoral positions will begin on November 15 2026, and continue until the positions are filled. Applicants are encouraged to submit their materials early. 

Candidates must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent degree, or have completed all but dissertation in Mathematics or a closely related field.
