Postdoctoral Faculty Position Department of Mathematics University of Nebraska-Lincoln The Department of Mathematics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for a three-year, non-tenure track NSF-funded RTG postdoctoral faculty position, starting in August 2026. The NSF requires RTG postdocs to be US citizens or permanent residents. Responsibilities include research, teaching two courses per academic year, and running a year-long research seminar, with the help of a research mentor, during the second year in the position. A competitive compensation package will be negotiated. UNL makes available reasonably priced life, health, and long-term disability insurance programs. Required Qualifications · Ph.D. (or equivalent) in mathematics or a closely related field or anticipated degree by August 2026. · Per NSF requirements, candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents. Preferred Qualifications · Documented research activity and interests in commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, or related fields. · Documented record of success in classroom instruction at the college level.
