The Department of Mathematics at the University of Dayton seeks applicants for a full-time lecturer or senior lecturer position in mathematics who will participate in efforts to develop and implement resources and structures to help students in foundational mathematics courses be successful in their chosen majors. If you are someone who wants to thrive in a collegial and supportive environment, who will grow as a professional, who is committed to educating students in a setting where a variety of teaching strategies are encouraged, and who is committed to growing participation of women and under-represented populations in mathematics then apply today!

This position is a nine-month, annually renewable position beginning August 16, 2024 and offers a promotion path and full benefits, including tuition benefits for dependents. The teaching focus will be on foundational courses (courses below calculus), but teaching assignments may also include courses in our various calculus sequences, as well as other service courses. The person filling this position is expected to support students whose intended majors require calculus, but who may need extra support.

At the University of Dayton, we value our inclusive climate because we know that diversity in experiences and perspectives is vital to advancing innovation, critical thinking, solving complex problems, and creating an inclusive academic community. Because we seek a workforce with a wide range of perspectives and experiences, we encourage all candidates to apply.
