Universidad del Rosario is a prestigious Colombian University that typically ranks in the top five universities in the country and in the top 50 in Latin America. It was founded in 1653 and has a long tradition in the areas of Medicine, Law, Economics, and Social and Political Sciences. The School of Sciences and Engineering (ECI) has the goal of fostering the formation and positioning of strong undergraduate and graduate programs that excel in both teaching and research. At present, the ECI has 40 full time faculty members and incorporates the undergraduate programs in Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Earth System Science, Biology and Engineering, six Masters, and two PhD Programs. The ECI has a vigorous and growing research agenda and published over 120 international peer-reviewed articles in 2024.
