The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of South Florida seeks to fill up to three 12-month, full-time, Postdoctoral Research Scholar positions in Discrete, Combinatorial and Topological Models of Biomolecular Processes to begin by early 2022. Research topics will focus on DNA self-assembly, DNA recombination and RNA-DNA hybrids and interactions. For more information, please visit: https://knot.math.usf.edu/.

A Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences or a related area is required at the time of appointment. No knowledge in molecular biology is necessary, however an interest in mathematically studying bimolecular processes is expected, and some experience in coding is preferred.

These positions carry a one-year appointment and may be renewed for up to three years depending on satisfactory performance and continued funding. The postdoctoral fellowship positions are pertinent to the projects led by Professor Jonoska listed below:
