Job Title: Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track, Mathematics and Statistics


Job Summary:
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of San Francisco invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin Fall of 2022, contingent upon funding approval. All areas of specialization will be considered.

Full Job Description:

Job Responsibilities: The standard teaching load for this position at USF is two 4-unit courses per semester with an additional third course every fourth semester (2-2-2-3 over two years). The successful candidate is expected to engage in service to the department and college, and maintain an active research program that has the potential to engage students.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have earned a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field by August of 2022. Strong applicants from all subdisciplines of mathematics will be considered. The position requires a commitment to excellence in teaching within a culturally diverse environment, and a strong research program with potential for student engagement. The successful candidate must be able to offer their reflections on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and discuss how they would engage with and enhance the department's and college's efforts in this area.
