Tenure-Track Position Mathematics:

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Alabama invites applications for a full-time (9 month), tenure-track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in mathematics, starting August 15, 2023.

For the rank of associate professor, applicants must possess an earned doctoral degree in mathematics or a closely related field, and their applications must demonstrate an established research agenda. For the rank of assistant professor, applicants should possess an earned doctoral degree, but ABD’s near completion of the degree will be considered. Applicants should have a strong commitment to both research and teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who are interested in helping expand the computational opportunities in the department’s course offerings, both at the undergraduate and the graduate level.

Review of applications will begin on January 16, 2023, and will continue until the position is filled. Applications should be submitted online at www.mathjobs.org, and should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statements of teaching philosophy and research goals, three letters of recommendation, and copies of graduate transcripts.
