** finished (2022/01/18, finished 2022/06/07, listed until 2022/02/28)| This Research Fellow will be expected to work closely with Prof. Christian Haesemeyer and Dr. Jack Hall, on the Australian Research Council (ARC) funded research program on Moduli, invariants and Algebraisation (funded under the Discovery Program). While the research program is guided by a set of research questions, there will be considerable scope for this Research Fellow to develop their own ideas within a broader research agenda.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience within algebra or algebraic geometry. The Research Fellow will be part of the School’s Algebraic Geometry group https://algebraicgeometry.science.unimelb.edu.au/
To be considered for this position you will have a PhD or equivalent research higher degree in mathematics and demonstrated research excellence with regard to career stage.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 2 years.
