The tri-campus Graduate Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto invites applications for Postdoctoral positions. These positions are open to researchers who recently obtained or expect to obtain a Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences by July 2019. Candidates should show significant promise in research and demonstrate evidence of strength in teaching.

Applicants should submit their materials on MathJobs and directly contact faculty members with whom they are interested in working. For reference letters, please submit 3 research related references and 1 teaching related references. To receive full consideration, applications should be received by December 3, 2018 though we will consider late applications.

We expect to make several appointments but the number of positions will depend on the availability of funds.

The expected start date is July 1, 2019. A later start date can be negotiated with the supervisor pending approval. The duration of the appointment runs from one to three years pending approval from the supervisor.

Salary is to be commensurate with qualifications and experience as well as availability of funds. The positions are full-time, unless negotiated and approved by the supervisor.

Employment as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto is covered by the terms of the CUPE 3902 Unit 5 Collective Agreement.
