Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor, Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is seeking a full-time (3-3) Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor for the Spring 2022 and Fall 2022 semesters. This 12-month position (calendar year) will be benefits-eligible. The selected candidate will likely be able to teach courses they are most comfortable with, with preference given to those who can teach the calculus sequence, introductory computer science, or statistics.

Essential Functions:

• Teaching three course each semester (spring 2022 and fall 2022)

• Holding office hours and providing appropriate support to students

• Working with the Quantitative Skills Center and other departments on-campus as appropriate to support student success and retention

Qualifications (Education, Skills and Experience):

• Masters or Doctorate in Math or Computer Science; outstanding ABD candidates may also receive consideration

• A qualified candidate should have at least one year of experience teaching at the undergraduate level in either Mathematics or Computer Science
