Thierry Chekouo (Depts. of Math & Stat and Biochem & Mol Biol), Quan Long (Depts. of Biochem & Mol Biol, Med Genet, and Math & Stat) and Qingrun Zhang (Depts. of Biochem & Mol Biol and Math & Stat) on the development of Bayesian statistical/machine learning methods for the analysis of high-throughput molecular data (i.e., genome, transcriptome, epi-genome, and more). The methods would be able to systematically integrate biomedical/biological knowledge in order to improve the prediction power of clinical outcomes. Domains of applications may include cardiovascular diseases, neurodevelopment disorders and cancer diseases. Postdoctoral fellows in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics are expected to teach up to two courses per year.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge big-data methods tailoring to various application fields to generate practical impact.
