Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position opportunity in Biostatistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Calgary. The successful candidate will work with Drs. Thierry Chekouo, Alexander R. de Leon, and Hua Shen on the development of new statistical methods for the analysis of complex data. Examples of possible projects include integrative statistical methods for omics data, longitudinal data analysis, or complex outcomes (e.g., correlated non-Gaussian data, survival data, recurrent events, mixed outcomes, etc.). Possible domains of applications include diagnostic testing in ophthalmology or cancer, and other diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, osteoarthritis and obesity. Postdoctoral fellows in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics are expected to teach up to two courses per year. Qualifications: The successful candidate should have (or is expected to complete by September 2019) a PhD in statistics, biostatistics or related discipline. A solid background in statistics biostatistics, and strong proficiency with scripting and programming languages in one or more of R, python, C/C++, Stan or BUGS is preferred.
