Postdoctoral Fellowships in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at
McMaster University. These fellowships, which are named after our former colleague Dr.
F. Ronald Britton, provide opportunities to engage in research in mathematics,
with a limited amount of teaching, and are particularly suitable for talented
mathematicians who have recently completed their PhD. Positions are tenable for two years, depending

The fellowships are open to candidates of any nationality and selection will be based upon the candidate's research potential and fit with one of the active research groups in the department. Research areas with particular interest in hiring new postdoctoral fellows this year include Algebraic Geometry, Analysis, Applied and Computational Mathematics, Commutative Algebra, Geometric Analysis, Low-dimensional Topology, Mathematical Biology and Theoretical Fluid Mechanics.
The fellowships
normally start on August 1, 2025
and provide an annual stipend salary of at least $63,000, plus a $4,000 grant
for research expenses. In order to receive full consideration, candidates are required

Applicants should provide at least three letters of recommendation. At least one of these letters should report on the candidate's teaching abilities.
