|VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/INSTRUCTOR POSITION
Applications are invited for a one year visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor position beginning August 15, 2017.
All candidates must have college level teaching experience. Candidates must have a Masters in mathematics or statistics. A Ph.D. in mathematics or statistics is required for appointment as an Assistant Professor.
Preference will be given to candidates who are broadly trained, have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and experience teaching developmental mathematics. Preference will be given to those applicants whose research specialty is of interest to current members of the department. Visa sponsorship is not possible for this visiting position.

A completed application consists of the AMS cover letter, a letter of application, vita, a copy of each graduate transcript, description of scholarly interests, statement of teaching philosophy, and three current letters of recommendation. All applicants should have at least two letters which address teaching qualifications. For appointment at the Assitant Professor rank, at least one letter should address scholarship.
