|Three-Year Visiting Instructor of Mathematics and Director of the Center for Mathematics Success
Bradley University invites applications for a Visiting Instructor of Mathematics and Director of its newly-formed Center for Mathematics Success. This is a full-time, three-year position to begin August 15, 2017, with the possibility of renewal beyond the three-year term. The development of this position stems from the University’s efforts to increase student success across the mathematics curriculum, in particular at the introductory level.
The successful applicant will teach developmental and introductory courses in the Department of Mathematics while providing oversight of its developmental curriculum and supplemental learning activities. The Center for Mathematics Success will be the home for tutoring services in mathematics as well as mathematics-intensive gateway courses across the campus.
All candidates must have college-level teaching experience and experience teaching developmental mathematics. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in mathematics or statistics. Preference will be given to candidates who are broadly trained, have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and have administrative experience. Visa sponsorship is not possible for this visiting position.
