The faculty of the Mathematics Department at California State University Dominguez Hills invites applications from individuals for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Mathematics Department.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  1. Update and maintain the department’s undergraduate curriculum in probability and statistics, including such courses as Probability and Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, and Stochastic Processes.
  2. Teach effectively in a variety of courses for undergraduate mathematics majors, and service courses, with a focus on courses in probability and statistics;
  3. Maintain appropriate research and scholarly activities in statistics or related areas;

Note: our typical teaching load is twelve units per semester (new faculty teach nine units per semester for the first two years). Faculty who are active in grants and projects use grant funds to reduce their teaching load. Published research is expected and is a requirement for tenure and promotion.
