Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track positions (#F0032 and #F0335) in Mathematics to begin August 2018. Professional responsibilities include teaching 12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate mathematics courses, including quantitative reasoning courses in Longwood’s Core Curriculum and courses for mathematics majors. In addition to the primary responsibility of teaching, faculty are also expected to advise students effectively, to make service contributions, and to engage in scholarship and professional activity.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Mathematics strongly preferred, ABD considered. Successful college teaching experience preferred. Experience teaching mathematics with technology preferred. A strong background in applied mathematics or statistics for at least one position is strongly preferred. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.
