The Department of Mathematics at Marymount University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank to begin in August 2018. Candidates must be committed to teaching and conducting research in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. Candidates from all areas of pure and applied mathematics will be considered for the position. The teaching load will be three courses per semester to support the liberal arts core and the mathematics major. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory mathematics and statistics courses together with advanced mathematics courses. In addition to the teaching load, a successful candidate will develop and carry out an active research agenda, involve talented undergraduates in his/her research, and provide service to the department, school, and university.

A PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, or statistics is required by the time of appointment. Candidates with teaching experience, an interest in developing innovative classroom experiences, and a desire to work with a diverse student body are preferred.
