The Department of Statistics at the University of Chicago invites applications for the position of Co-Director of Undergraduate Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordination and continued development of the undergraduate program, for development of new curriculum, and expected to teach up to six 10-week undergraduate courses each year. Duties will include selection, supervision, training, and assessment of effectiveness of teaching assistants; development or deployment of learning technology in the department; primary responsibility, together with faculty, for advising undergraduates, focusing on students majoring in Statistics, on course selection in the Department. This appointment will be at the academic rank of Lecturer for an initial three-year term, with the possibility of reappointment.

At the time of appointment, the successful applicant must have completed all requirements for a PhD in Statistics or related field. Demonstrable broad knowledge of the field and outstanding effectiveness and competence in teaching at the undergraduate level are essential. Applications must include descriptions of previous experience in teaching and statistical research.
