Carroll College announces a one-year visiting faculty position in mathematics, beginning in August 2018. We seek an engaging teacher who uses interactive methods and current technologies and who would support our mathematical modeling-oriented program. An interest in teaching calculus and statistics is helpful. Typical teaching loads are 4-4 with consideration given for courses with a computer lab component. Candidates must have a master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field. Candidates with a doctorate in mathematics, statistics, or related field preferred.

The Mathematics Program at Carroll graduates 8-12 students per year, many of whom go on to graduate school in mathematics and related fields. The mathematics program also provides strong support to several disciplines on campus, particularly engineering, computer science, data science, chemistry, physics, and biology.
