Additionally, a Master program in Scientific Computing is about to be initiated. The main areas of research in mathematics in IMA are Dynamical Systems, Number Theory, and Numerical Analysis.

The research in the area of Numerical Analysis is mainly focused on developing and analyzing algorithms to approximate the solution of Partial Differential Equations. More information can be found in

We are looking to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of Numerical Analysis, however strong candidates from other areas will also be considered. Applicants with Scientific Computing skills are expected.

Candidates should have a PhD in Mathematics, a strong research potential and commitment to teaching. The ability to obtain grants with national and/or international funding is highly valued.
