The Coding Theory, Cryptography, and Number Theory group at Clemson University has two RTG postdoctoral positions in any one of the focus areas of the group: coding theory, cryptography or number theory. To be eligible applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents and no more than two years past completion of the doctoral degree. The positions are renewable annually to a maximum of three years, and they also include some summer support. Both positions come with a research allowance and carry a two course per year teaching load. Along with teaching duties, RTG postdocs will also be expected to participate in some of the other activities associated to the grant that can be found on the grant webpage (

Applications should include an AMS cover sheet, cover letter, curriculum vitae, research statement, teaching statement, and four letters of reference at least one of which addresses the applicant’s teaching. The cover letter should indicate how the applicant's work relates to the research areas of the grant. Applications must be completed through the website, and will be accepted until the positions have been filled. Completed applications for the postdoctoral position received before November 15 will receive full consideration. The earliest starting date for the positions is January 1, 2019.
