The Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) seeks enthusiastic and innovative candidates for one two-year Contractually-Limited Term Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, in the field of mathematics, beginning September 1, 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter, and ending August 31, 2020.

We seek candidates who have a record of excellent teaching, experience and demonstrated commitment to excellent pedagogical practices, and strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. This will be demonstrated through teaching accomplishments, teaching evaluations, the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application, and strong endorsements from referees of high standing. Experience or demonstrated interest in curriculum improvement and teaching innovation is a plus. Candidates must have a PhD in mathematics by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter.

Salary is to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Teaching duties in the undergraduate program include core courses at the first and/or second year level, as well as upper-level courses, in one of the candidate's fields of expertise. Responsibilities include undergraduate teaching, managing teaching assistants, developing course materials, and curriculum development.
