Position Description:    

The Center for Computational Mathematics and Applications (CCMA) in the Department of Mathematics at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park is seeking scholars for postdoctoral appointments. Successful candidates will hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or related field (such as physics, engineering, computer science). The position requires expertise in numerical methods for partial differential equations with Fortran, C, or C++ programming. Appointed candidates will work closely with the faculty at the CCMA on research related to numerical methods for partial differential equations or big data. The postdoctoral scholar will contribute to a number of research projects including the CCMA’s projects supported by the NSF, the DOE and industries. These appointments may include the possibility of teaching. This is a non-tenure track appointment (48 weeks).
