Arbor Research Collaborative for Health seeks a Senior Research Scientist to lead our outstanding team of biostatisticians and epidemiologists and to promote sophisticated and innovative analytics across our research portfolio, serve as senior biostatistics investigator for research projects, and secure new funding opportunities as a valued member of our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. We work with large-scale observational data, administrative data, and on projects at the interface of translational and clinical outcomes research, with public and private funding support.

This opportunity is for individuals with a PhD in biostatistics, an established record of scholarship, and success in leading large research studies. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

Projects and proposals • Lead successful proposals for new research studies that meaningfully support or extend Arbor Research’s portfolio • Provide leadership as principal or contributing investigator to ongoing major studies at Arbor Research • Oversee research leading to peer-reviewed publications of highest quality, in collaboration with our productive multidisciplinary team • Extend the impact of our work by identifying and implementing additional ways to translate our published research into improving health outcomes • Present seminars and lectures externally on behalf of Arbor Research

Biostatistics leadership • Recruit, retain, provide direct supervision, and promote career growth for our team of investigator-level biostatisticians and epidemiologists • Provide oversight of analytic processes and implementation of best practices across the organization

Strategic growth • Contribute substantively to strategic initiatives that further the Arbor Research mission and values

Supervision General administrative supervision is received from Vice President, Clinical Research. Direct reports include investigator-level biostatisticians and epidemiologists.

Required Qualifications • PhD in biostatistics or epidemiology • No fewer than seven (7) years of postdoctoral research experience at Arbor Research and/or a comparable research-based organization • Established scholarly research success, as demonstrated by specific content-area expertise and reputation, lead or senior authorship on a portfolio of refereed publications, invited presentations, and/or project reports • Demonstrable scientific independence • Established success in a leadership role for large research projects and in securing funding for new projects • Established mentorship and leadership skills and successes • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a wide variety of audiences, including the health care community, sponsors, and policy makers • Ability to travel, including international, with several nights away from home per year
