The Rutgers Mathematics Department offers various postdoctoral positions in Mathematics. These include several Hill Assistant Professorships, which are three-year non-tenure track, non-renewable, Post-Doctoral Research instructorships. Subject to availability of funding, the department expects to have five of these position that will start in Fall of 2019.
These positions carry a reduced teaching load of 2-1 for research; candidates should have received a PhD by the time the position starts, and show outstanding promise of research ability in pure or applied mathematics as well as
a capacity for effective teaching.
In addition, various postdoctoral research positions may become available, which may or may not carry teaching responsibilities. The required application materials are a curriculum vitae, (including a publication list),a research statement (not to exceed five pages in length), and four letters of recommendation, one of which evaluates teaching and (if possible) provides quantitive evidence of teaching ability.
