The Probability Community at Duke University in Durham, NC invites applications for a tenure­-track position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level to begin July 1, 2019 or later. 

Candidates must have exceptional research achievements and evidence of high-quality teaching. The successful candidate could be appointed in a number of different units or departments, depending on university resources and  the candidate’s background and interests, including: the departments of Mathematics; Statistical Science; or Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Fuqua School of Business. Joint appointments are also possible.

Candidates from all specialties in probability are encouraged to apply, as well those in related fields including high dimensional probability and Machine Learning, Data Assimilation, analysis and applications of Markov Chain Monte Carlo and other sampling algorithms, Information Theory and Statistical Mechanics.
