Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Florida is pleased to invite applications for three (3) full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty positions open to all areas in Mathematics beginning August 16, 2019. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.

These positions are part of an exciting university wide initiative to further its status as one of the very best research universities in the nation. The university is in the process of adding 500 new faculty to enhance teaching and research. The successful candidates will join a vibrant research department with representation across a full range of pure and applied mathematics.

Requirements for these positions include a PhD in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, postdoctoral experience, an independent research program, capacity to compete for external funding and direct PhD students, as well as excellent communication and teaching skills. An interest in teaching innovation is welcomed.
