Prof. Lexing Ying invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position to work under his supervision in the area of computational and applied mathematics. The goal of this DOE funded project is to apply modern applied/computational mathematics and machine learning techniques to challenging problems from computational chemistry and physics.

The initial appointment will be for 2 years, with an option to extend to a third year if performance is satisfactory and funding is available. The anticipated starting date is Fall 2019. This position does not carry any teaching duty, but there may be a possibility of teaching one class at the Department of Mathematics at Stanford University.
